Pawnzon Loyalty Point Program T&C
These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern the participation in the Pawnzon Loyalty Points Program (“Program”), operated and managed by Mainsource Management Sdn. Bhd. (“Operator”). By enrolling in the Program, participants (“Members”) agree to be bound by these Terms, as well as any amendments, modifications, or updates that may be made by the Operator at its sole discretion. The Program, including the loyalty points system, rewards, and all related promotions, is subject to these Terms, and participation constitutes acceptance of the Terms as outlined herein.
The Program is designed to reward eligible customers of pawnshops under the Pawnzon brand with loyalty points (“Points”) for qualifying transactions with interest payment. The Operator reserves the right to amend, suspend, or terminate the Program, including the accumulation, redemption, and validity of Points, at any time, with or without prior notice, in accordance with applicable laws.
The Pawnzon trademark and branding are the exclusive property of Mainsource Management Sdn. Bhd., and unauthorized use of these assets is strictly prohibited.
1. Membership Eligibility and Program Enrollment
1.1 Eligibility Criteria
The Program is open to individuals who are customers of pawnshops operating under the Pawnzon brand. To qualify for membership, individuals must be at least 18 years of age or the legal age of majority in their jurisdiction of residence, whichever is older. By participating in the Program, Members represent and warrant that they meet the eligibility criteria outlined in this section.
1.2 Enrollment
Enrollment in the Program is not automatic. After completing a qualifying transaction at a participating Pawnzon pawnshop, the pawnshop staff may invite you to join the program, or you may request to join at that time. Alternatively, customers can activate the Program by clicking the “Join” button in their Pawnlink account. There are no enrollment fees or ongoing costs for participation, but each Member is responsible for keeping their account details, including contact information, up to date.
1.3 Non-Transferable Membership
Membership in the Program is personal to the individual customer and may not be assigned, transferred, or shared. Any attempt to transfer or assign membership or loyalty points to another person, whether directly or indirectly, shall be considered a violation of these Terms and may result in immediate termination of the Member’s account and forfeiture of any accrued points, at the sole discretion of the Operator.
1.4 Termination of Membership
The Operator reserves the right to terminate any Member’s participation in the Program, with or without cause, upon written notice to the Member. In the event of termination, any remaining points in the Member’s account will be forfeited without compensation or liability to the Operator.
1.5 Changes to Membership Terms
The Operator reserves the right to modify or amend the eligibility criteria, enrollment procedures, and any other membership-related terms at its discretion, with or without prior notice, subject to applicable laws. Continued participation in the Program following any such changes constitutes acceptance of the amended Terms.
2. Earning and Accumulating Loyalty Points
2.1 Qualifying Transactions
Members will earn Points for every qualifying transaction with interest payment conducted at participating pawnshops under the Pawnzon brand or via the Pawnlink platform. A “Qualifying Transaction with interest payment” is defined as any transaction where interest is paid, including:
- Renewal: Renewing a pawn ticket by paying the accrued interest.
- Redemption: Redeeming a pawned item by paying off the loan and accrued interest.
- Add More: Increasing the loan value on an existing pawned item, which involves pawn ticket renewal and interest payment.
- Reduce: Reducing the outstanding loan balance by making partial repayments, which involves pawn ticket renewal and interest payment.
- Partial Redeem: Partially redeeming a portion of the pawned items by paying off part of the loan, which involves redemption, renewal and interest payment.
Any other transactions explicitly designated by the Operator as eligible for earning Points through interest payments may also qualify.
2.2 Points Calculation
Points are earned from Interest Payments, at a rate of 10 Points for every RM 1.00 paid in interest during a qualifying transaction with interest payment. Cents (i.e., any amount below RM 1.00) will not be considered and will be rounded down. For example, if RM 62.73 is paid in interest, the Member will earn 620 Points, as the amount will be rounded down to RM 62.00 for calculation purposes.
2.3 Points Posting
Points earned through qualifying transactions with interest payment will be credited to the Member’s account within 48 hours following the completion of the transaction. Points earned during a transaction cannot be used within the same transaction and are only available for redemption in subsequent transactions. In the event of a technical delay or error, the Operator reserves the right to adjust or correct the points balance accordingly.
2.4 Exclusions
The following transactions are not eligible for earning Points:
- Payments made toward penalties or fees.
- Any other transactions that the Operator deems ineligible for points accrual, as communicated to the Members.
2.5 Bonus Points
Members may be eligible for bonus points based on certain criteria or promotions, such as early redemption or renewal of pawn tickets. The bonus point reward structure is as follows:

Bonus points are subject to the same terms as regular points and will be reflected in the Member’s account following the qualifying transaction with interest payment.
2.6 Points Adjustment for Redeemed Points
When Points are redeemed to discount an interest payment in a qualifying transaction with interest payment, the Member will still earn Points on the remaining portion of the interest payment after applying the redeemed points. The Points earned will be based on the net interest amount paid after the redemption. For example:
- Interest Due: RM 100
- Points Redeemed: RM 1.80 (from previously accumulated points)
- Actual Amount Paid: RM 98.20
- Points Earned: 98 points.
This ensures that Members continue to accumulate Points even when using previously redeemed points to reduce their payment.
2.7 No Retroactive Points
Points cannot be earned retroactively for transactions that occurred prior to enrollment in the Program, or for transactions where the Member failed to provide the required account details at the time of the transaction.
2.8 Promotional Earning of Points
From time to time, the Operator may run promotional campaigns that allow Members to earn additional Points beyond the standard rate. These promotions may include, but are not limited to:
- Lucky Draw Program with Loyalty Points as reward.
- Double or triple points for certain qualifying transactions with interest payment.
- Special promotional periods where higher point multipliers are applied.
- Additional points for specific actions, such as referring new customers or engaging with specific promotional activities.
The details and specific terms of each promotional campaign will be communicated to Members via email, the Pawnzon website, or other official communication channels. Promotional points will be subject to the same terms and conditions as regular points unless otherwise specified.
3. Redeeming Loyalty Points
3.1 Redemption Conditions
Points may be redeemed by Members at any participating pawnshop under the Pawnzon brand or via the Pawnlink platform for a discount on interest payments for pawn tickets. The redemption process is subject to the following conditions:
- Points earned from a transaction can only be used for redemption in subsequent transactions, not within the same transaction.
- Points can be used to cover up to 50% of the total interest amount due on a pawn ticket.
- Points cannot be redeemed for cash or exchanged for any non-monetary reward or item.
- Redemption is applicable only to interest payments and cannot be applied to any fees, penalties, or other charges.
3.2 Redemption Process
Points may be redeemed at the time of the transaction, either in-store or via the Pawnlink platform, by the Member requesting the application of available Points toward the interest payment. The corresponding value of the Points will be deducted from the total interest amount. If there are insufficient Points available to meet the 50% threshold, the Points will be applied up to the maximum available balance, and the remaining balance must be paid in cash or equivalent.
3.3 Minimum Redemption Requirements
Points must be redeemed in multiples of 100 Points, with a conversion rate of 1,000 Points equivalent to RM 1.00. For example, a customer with 3,840 Points can redeem 3,800 Points for RM 3.80, but cannot redeem the remaining 40 Points, as Points are not redeemable in fractions less than 100. Points must be redeemed in whole increments, and any remaining Points below the nearest 100 cannot be used in the transaction.
3.4 Points Redemption Cap
Members may redeem Points for up to 50% of the total interest payable in any single transaction. This remainder of the interest amount shall be paid with non-Points payment methods (e.g., cash or card).
3.5 Redemption Venues
Points can be redeemed at any pawnshop operating under the Pawnzon brand or through the Pawnlink platform for interest payments. Points may not be redeemed at non-participating locations or for any other services offered outside of the Pawnzon network.
3.6 No Refund of Redeemed Points
Once Points have been redeemed toward a transaction, they cannot be refunded, exchanged, or reinstated for future use, except in cases of an error or a verified dispute. In such cases, the Operator reserves the right to assess and, if necessary, reinstate Points at its sole discretion.
3.7 Promotional Redemption
The Operator reserves the right to run promotional campaigns offering additional benefits for redeeming Points (e.g., reduced minimum redemption thresholds, special redemption rates, vouchers), subject to specific terms and conditions that will be communicated during the campaign period.
4. Points Expiry and Transactional Activity
4.1 Points Expiration
Points accrued through the Program will expire if the Member does not perform any qualifying transaction with Pawnzon for a continuous period of one (1) calendar year. A “qualifying transaction” is defined as any of the following activities:
- Pawn: Initiating a new pawn transaction by pledging an item for a loan.
- Redeem: Redeeming a previously pawned item by paying off the loan and accrued interest.
- Renewal: Renewing a pawn ticket by paying the accrued interest.
- Add More: Increasing the loan value on an existing pawned item.
- Reduce: Reducing the outstanding loan balance by making partial repayments.
- Partial Redeem: Partially redeeming a portion of the pawned items by paying off part of the loan.
Failure to complete any of the above qualifying transactions within the one-year period will result in the automatic deduction of all loyalty points from the Member’s account, without the possibility of recovery or reinstatement.
4.2 Extension of Points Validity
To maintain an active points balance, Members are required to conduct at least one qualifying transaction during each twelve-month period. Each qualifying transaction will automatically extend the expiration date of all accumulated points by one (1) additional calendar year, calculated from the date of the most recent qualifying transaction. This policy ensures that Members who engage with Pawnzon services regularly can retain their points for ongoing future use.
4.3 Notification of Expiry
To assist Members in keeping track of their loyalty points and to avoid unexpected expirations, Pawnzon will issue expiration reminders through email or other appropriate communication channels at key intervals:
- 6 months prior to expiration: A notification alerting the Member that no qualifying transactions have been recorded and their points will expire in six months.
- 3 months prior to expiration: A follow-up reminder, encouraging the Member to engage in a qualifying transaction to avoid losing their points.
- 1 month prior to expiration: A final reminder informing the Member that their points will expire in one month if no qualifying transaction is made.
These notifications are provided as a courtesy, and the Member is solely responsible for keeping track of their points balance and expiration dates. Pawnzon cannot be held liable for any failure to receive or act upon these reminders.
4.4 Consequences of Expired Points
Once points have expired due to inactivity, they are considered forfeited and cannot be reinstated or redeemed under any circumstances. Expired points hold no monetary or exchange value, and Members forfeit any rights to use them. The expiration of points applies universally across the Member’s entire account balance, regardless of how the points were earned or accrued.
4.5 Account Inactivity and Dormancy
In addition to points expiration, any Member account that remains inactive for a period of three (3) consecutive years will be classified as dormant. In such cases, the Member’s loyalty points will be permanently forfeited, and the account may be deactivated or restricted from further participation in the loyalty program. Reactivation of dormant accounts will be subject to the discretion of the Operator, and any such reactivation will not restore forfeited points.
4.6 Amendment of Expiration Terms
The Operator reserves the right to amend or modify the points expiration policy at its sole discretion, including adjustments to the expiration period, notification intervals, and qualifying transaction requirements. Any changes to this policy will be communicated to Members through official Pawnzon communication channels, including the Pawnzon website, email notifications, and other means as deemed appropriate. Continued participation in the Program following any such changes will constitute acceptance of the amended terms.
5. Program Modifications and Termination
5.1 Program Modifications
The Operator reserves the right to modify, amend, or update any aspect of the Program (“Program”) at any time, with or without prior notice to Members. Modifications may include, but are not limited to:
- Changes in the method of earning or redeeming points.
- Adjustments to the point conversion rates or redemption thresholds.
- Introduction, modification, or removal of promotional offers or bonus points opportunities.
- Amendments to the points expiration policy, including the duration of points validity or conditions of extension.
Any such changes will be communicated to Members via official channels, including the Pawnzon website, email notifications, or other suitable methods. Continued participation in the Program following any modifications constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
5.2 Program Suspension or Termination
The Operator reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to suspend or terminate the Program at any time. In the event of Program termination:
- Members will be notified in advance, where possible, via email and other communication channels.
- A final redemption period of 30 days will be provided, during which Members may redeem their remaining points, subject to existing Program rules.
- Upon the expiration of the final redemption period, all unredeemed points will be forfeited, and Members will have no further rights or claims to the points or any associated benefits.
5.3 Member Termination
The Operator reserves the right to terminate a Member’s participation in the Program, at its sole discretion, for reasons including, but not limited to:
- Fraudulent Activity: Any attempt by a Member to manipulate the Program, earn points through dishonest means, or redeem points fraudulently will result in immediate termination.
- Misuse of Points: Any abuse or misuse of the points or redemption process, including attempts to transfer points between accounts or to third parties, will result in the forfeiture of points and account termination.
- Violation of Terms: Any violation of these Terms and Conditions may result in termination of membership and forfeiture of accumulated points.
Upon termination of a Member’s account, all remaining points will be forfeited, and no further participation in the Program will be allowed.
5.4 Limitation of Liability
The Operator shall not be held liable for any loss or damage, whether direct or indirect, resulting from any modification, suspension, or termination of the Program or from the termination of any Member’s account. The Program and its benefits are provided at the discretion of the Operator, and the accumulation of points does not entitle Members to any vested rights with respect to the Program.
5.5 Finality of Decisions
All decisions regarding the modification, suspension, termination, or any other matter related to the Program will be final and binding, at the sole discretion of the Operator. No correspondence, appeals, or disputes will be entertained following any such decisions.
6. Member Responsibilities and Data Privacy
6.1 Accurate Account Information
Members are responsible for ensuring that all information provided in relation to their participation in the Program is accurate and up to date. This includes, but is not limited to:
- Contact details, such as email address and phone number.
- Transaction information associated with earning and redeeming loyalty points.
Any errors or omissions in the Member’s account details may result in the loss of points or failure to receive Program notifications. The Operator shall not be held responsible for any consequences arising from inaccurate or outdated information provided by the Member.
6.2 Securing Member Account
Members are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality and security of their account credentials (e.g., usernames, passwords, or PINs). Unauthorized access to a Member’s account due to negligence or failure to secure such credentials is the sole responsibility of the Member. In the event of any suspicious activity or breach of account security, Members are encouraged to report the issue immediately to Pawnzon customer service.
6.3 Data Collection and Use
The Operator collects, stores, and processes personal information from Members in connection with their participation in the Program. The information collected may include, but is not limited to, the following:
- Name, contact information, and transaction history.
- Points earned, redeemed, and expired through the Program.
The collected data will be used for the purpose of administering the Program, tracking Member transactions, and providing relevant offers or promotions. Additionally, Members consent to receiving communications related to their participation in the Program, such as point balance updates, expiration alerts, promotional offers, and account-related notices.
6.4 Sharing of Data with Third Parties
The Operator may share Member data with trusted third-party service providers for the sole purpose of administering and improving the Program. Such third parties may include, but are not limited to, data processing services, marketing service providers, and customer support services. These parties are bound by confidentiality agreements and are prohibited from using the data for any purpose other than that explicitly authorized by the Operator.
6.5 Data Security
The Operator is committed to protecting the privacy and security of Member data. Reasonable measures, both technical and procedural, will be implemented to prevent unauthorized access, misuse, or disclosure of Member data. However, no system is entirely foolproof, and the Operator cannot guarantee the absolute security of Member data. In the event of a data breach, affected Members will be notified in accordance with applicable data protection laws and regulations.
6.6 Data Retention
Member data will be retained for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes of administering the Program or as required by applicable laws. Once a Member’s account is terminated or inactive for a period of three (3) consecutive years, the account and its associated data may be archived or deleted, subject to legal retention requirements.
6.7 Member Rights
Members have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of their personal data at any time, subject to applicable legal limitations. To exercise these rights, Members must contact the Operator through Pawnzon official customer service channels. Requests will be processed in compliance with applicable data protection laws, and reasonable steps will be taken to address the Member’s concerns promptly.
6.8 Data Processing Consent
By enrolling in the Program, Members consent to the collection, use, and sharing of their personal data as outlined in these Terms and Conditions and the Pawnzon Privacy Policy. If a Member withdraws their consent to the processing of their data, they acknowledge that it may limit or terminate their ability to participate in the Program.
7. Dispute Resolution and Governing Law
7.1 Dispute Handling
In the event a Member has a concern or dispute related to the Program, such as incorrect point balances, issues with redemption, or errors in account status, the Member is encouraged to contact Pawnzon’s customer service team for assistance. All reasonable efforts will be made by the Operator to resolve such issues in a fair and timely manner.
7.2 Point Discrepancies
If a Member believes there has been an error in the accumulation or redemption of loyalty points, they must notify Pawnzon within thirty (30) days of the transaction in question. Failure to raise a claim within this period will result in the forfeiture of the claim. Pawnzon will review and verify the transaction history and adjust the points balance if necessary.
7.3 Limitation of Liability
The Operator provides the Program as a free benefit to customers, and while all efforts are made to maintain accuracy and fairness, the company’s liability is limited to correcting errors in point balances or redemptions. Under no circumstances shall the Operator be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from participation in the Program.
7.4 Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions, and any disputes that arise between Members and the Operator, shall be governed by the laws of Malaysia. Any unresolved dispute that cannot be settled through informal means shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
8. General Provisions
8.1 No Assignment or Transfer of Rights
Members’ rights and obligations under the Program are personal and non-transferable. Points earned by a Member cannot be assigned, sold, transferred, or inherited. Any attempt to transfer or assign points or membership rights, whether by operation of law or otherwise, will be deemed void.
8.2 No Waiver
Failure by the Operator to enforce any provision of these Terms and Conditions shall not be deemed a waiver of any future enforcement of that provision or any other provision. The waiver of any right or provision under these Terms shall only be effective if made in writing and signed by an authorized representative of the Operator.
8.3 Entire Agreement
These Terms and Conditions constitute the entire agreement between the Member and the Operator regarding the Program. It supersedes any prior agreements, communications, or understandings between the parties concerning the subject matter of these Terms.
8.4 Severability
If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is found to be invalid or unenforceable by any court of competent jurisdiction, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect. The invalid or unenforceable provision will be replaced with a valid provision that most closely approximates the intent of the original provision.
8.5 Interpretation
The headings and titles used in these Terms and Conditions are for convenience only and shall not affect the interpretation or construction of any provision. In the event of any ambiguity or inconsistency between headings and the content of these Terms, the content shall prevail.
8.6 Language
These Terms and Conditions are made available in English only. In the event of any conflict between the versions, the English version shall prevail.
