Terms and Condition

By registering for Pawnzon Charity Run 2026: RUN FOR HOPE 2026, the participant confirms that he/she has read, understood and agreed to be bound by these Terms & Conditions.

 

  1. General Event Information

1.1. Pawnzon Charity Run 2026: RUN FOR HOPE 2026 (the “Event”) is scheduled to be held on 16th Sepetember 2026 at Taman Botani Negara Shah Alam.

1.2. The Event consists of 3KM and 5KM Fun Run categories, subject to the route, flag-off time, safety arrangements and operational requirements determined by the Organiser.

1.3.The Event is a community-driven fundraising event organized to support underprivileged children in local orphanages.

1.4. The event may include running, walking, warm-up, carnival booths, photography, videography, games, lucky draw, mascot appearance, prize presentation and other related activity.

1.5. The Organiser reserves the right to amend any Event details, including but not limited to the event date, venue, time, flag-off time, route, distance, category, programme flow, safety arrangements, Race Kit contents, participant entitlements and Event activities.

1.6. Any changes or updates will be announced through the Official Channels where reasonably possible.

1.7. The Event is organised by Pawnzon’s Partner Pawnbrokers listed in Annexure 1

 

  1. Acceptance of Terms

2.1. By submitting the registration form, purchasing a ticket through Ticket2U, making payment, collecting the Race Kit, attending or participating in the Event, the participant agrees to these Terms & Conditions.

2.2. Participants must read and understand these Terms & Conditions before registering.

2.3. For participants below 18 years old, the parent or legal guardian shall be deemed to have read, understood and accepted these Terms & Conditions on behalf of the minor participant.

 

  1. Eligibility

3.1. The Event is open to participants who are currently residing in Malaysia only.

3.2. Participants must be 7 years old and above on the Event date, unless otherwise approved by the Organiser.

3.3. Participants below 18 years old must obtain consent from their parent or legal guardian before registering and participating.

3.4. Participants below 12 years old are recommended to be accompanied by a parent, guardian or responsible adult throughout the Event.

3.5. The Organiser reserves the right to request proof of identity, age, registration confirmation or parental/guardian consent at any time.

3.6. The Organiser reserves the right to reject, cancel or disqualify any registration if false, incomplete, misleading or inaccurate information is provided.

 

  1. Registration

4.1. All registrations must be made through the official Ticket2U event page approved by the Organiser.

4.2. Registration is confirmed only after successful payment has been made and the participant has received confirmation from Ticket2U.

4.3. Participants are responsible for ensuring that all registration details are correct, including name, contact number, email address, category and T-shirt size.

4.4. The Organiser shall not be responsible for issues caused by incorrect or incomplete registration details submitted by the participant.

4.5. The Organiser reserves the right to close registration earlier if all slots are fully taken.

4.6. The Organiser reserves the right to reject, cancel or disqualify any registration if false, incomplete, misleading or inaccurate information is provided.

 

  1. Ticket Price and Payment

5.1. Ticket prices may vary according to category, distance, registration period, early bird rate, normal rate, late registration rate, group registration or promotional arrangement.

5.2. The ticket price stated on the official Ticket2U event page includes the applicable platform fee, unless otherwise stated.

5.3. Participants must check the selected category, ticket price, participant details and final payable amount carefully before confirming payment.

5.4. The final payable amount will be shown at Ticket2U checkout before payment confirmation.

5.5. Any optional add-ons selected by the participant during checkout, including but not limited to ticket refund insurance, sports personal accident insurance, optional merchandise, additional services, tax or any other third-party charges, shall be borne by the participant.

5.6. The Organiser shall not be responsible for failed, delayed, incomplete or duplicated payments caused by Ticket2U, banks, payment gateways, internet connection issues or incorrect information submitted by the participant.

 

  1. Refund and Cancellation

6.1. All tickets and registration fees paid are strictly non-refundable unless otherwise decided by the Organiser or subject to applicable Ticket2U cancellation/postponement procedures.

6.2. No refund will be given if a participant is unable to attend the Event due to personal reasons, medical reasons, work matters, travel issues, change of mind, wrong registration, duplicate registration, wrong category selection or failure to collect the Race Kit.

6.3. No refund will be given for no-show participants, late arrival, failure to complete the Event, disqualification or breach of these Terms & Conditions.

6.4. If the Event is postponed, rescheduled, relocated, modified, shortened or cancelled due to weather, haze, safety concerns, authority instruction, venue issue, force majeure or circumstances beyond the Organiser’s control, the Organiser reserves the right to decide the appropriate arrangement.

6.5. Such arrangement may include postponement, replacement event date, replacement venue, partial entitlement, refund, no refund or any other arrangement determined by the Organiser.

6.6. Any refund arrangement, if applicable, shall be subject to the Organiser’s decision, Ticket2U’s procedures and any applicable deduction of platform fee, processing fee, service fee, tax or third-party charges.

6.7. The Organiser’s decision on refund, cancellation, postponement, replacement or deferment shall be final.

 

  1. Transfer and Change of Details

7.1. Registration is non-transferable unless approved by the Organiser.

7.2. Participants are not allowed to sell, transfer, exchange or assign their registration slot, ticket, bib or Race Kit to another person without approval.

7.3. Any request to change participant details, category, distance or T-shirt size is subject to availability, Ticket2U system limitations and the Organiser’s approval.

7.4. No change request will be accepted after the deadline announced by the Organiser.

7.5. The Organiser shall not be responsible for any private arrangement, payment, resale or transfer dispute between participants.

 

  1. T-Shirt, Bib, Race Kit Collection

8.1. Participants are required to select their preferred T-shirt size collection location during registration on the official Ticket2U event page, subject to the available collection locations provided by the Organiser.

8.2. The selected collection location is provided for participants’ convenience and is subject to availability, operational arrangements and any changes determined by the Organiser.

8.3. The official Event bib will be assigned according to the participant’s registered category and distance, such as 3KM or 5KM.

8.4. T-shirt and bib collection details, including collection date, time and venue, will be announced through the Organiser’s official channels and/or stated on the Ticket2U event page.

8.5. Participants may be required to present proof of registration or identification during event kit collection.

8.6. In case of a participant authorises another person to collect on his/her behalf, the representative may be required to present the participant’s confirmation details and authorisation proof.

8.7. Participants are responsible for collecting their T-shirt and bib at the selected collection location within the official collection period.

8.8 If a participant is unable to collect the T-shirt and bib at the selected location or misses the official collection period, the participant may collect them on the Event Day at the designated Event collection counter, subject to verification, availability and the Organiser’s operational arrangement.

8.9. Participants who collect their T-shirt and bib on the Event Day are advised to arrive early. The Organiser shall not be responsible for any delay, long queue, late flag-off, missed activity or inconvenience caused by late collection.

8.11. Finisher entitlements, including but not limited to the finisher medal, recycle bag, refreshments, sponsor items or other finisher items, where applicable, will only be distributed on the Event Day and may be given only to participants who complete the Event route, unless otherwise decided by the Organiser.

8.12. Race Kits not collected during the official collection period may be forfeited unless otherwise decided by the Organiser.

8.13. The Organiser shall not be responsible for late collection, missed collection or failure to collect due to the participant’s personal reasons.

 

  1. Event Entitlements

9.1. Participant entitlements may include event T-shirt, bib, finisher medal, recycle bag, sponsor vouchers, refreshments, e-certificate, lucky draw entry or other items announced by the Organiser.

9.2. Entitlements may vary depending on category, sponsor arrangement, stock availability or operational requirements.

9.3. Images of entitlements shown in promotional materials are for illustration purposes only. Actual items may differ in colour, size, design, packaging, brand or quantity.

9.4. Finisher medal, recycle bag, e-certificate or finisher entitlement may only be given to participants who complete the Event route, unless otherwise decided by the Organiser.

9.5. The Organiser reserves the right to replace, remove or amend any entitlement without prior notice.

 

  1. Charity Purpose

10.1 The Event is organised with a charity and community purpose in support of underprivileged children in local orphanages.

10.2 Through this Event, the Organiser aims to raise awareness and contribute towards initiatives that benefit children under the care of the orphanage home(s).

10.3 The selected beneficiary, donation method and/or supported cause may be announced through the Organiser’s Official Channels, where applicable.

10.4 Any statement such as “proceeds will be donated”, “part of the proceeds will be donated”, Each sign up will donate “RM[amount]” or any similar charity-related statement shall be subject to the Organiser’s approved campaign arrangement.

10.5 The final donation amount, beneficiary name and handover details may be announced after the Event, subject to final calculation, approval, reconciliation and beneficiary arrangement.

10.6 The Organiser reserves the right to amend the charity beneficiary, donation arrangement or campaign mechanics if required due to operational, legal, administrative, beneficiary-related or force majeure reasons.

10.7 Unless expressly stated by the Organiser, the registration fee shall not be interpreted as a full donation amount.

 

  1. Health, Fitness and Medical Declaration

11.1 By registering and participating, the participant confirms that he/she is physically fit and medically able to take part in the Event.

11.2 Participants are strongly advised to seek medical advice before participating, especially if they have any medical condition, injury, illness, pregnancy, heart condition, respiratory condition, high blood pressure, diabetes, recent surgery or any other health concern.

11.3 Participants are responsible for monitoring their own physical condition before, during and after the Event.

11.4 Participants must stop participating immediately if they feel unwell, dizzy, faint, breathless, injured or experience chest pain, severe discomfort, dehydration, cramps or abnormal symptoms.

11.5 Participants must inform the nearest marshal, volunteer, medical personnel or Event staff if medical assistance is required.

11.6 The Organiser reserves the right to stop any participant from continuing the Event if the participant appears unfit, injured, unsafe or unable to continue.

11.7 The Organiser shall not be liable for any injury, illness, accident, death, loss or damage arising from a participant’s failure to disclose medical conditions, failure to seek medical advice or decision to participate despite being medically unfit.

 

  1. Waiver, Release and Indemnity

12.1 To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Organiser shall not be liable for any injury, illness, death, accident, loss, damage, claim or expense arising from the participant’s registration, attendance or participation in the Event, except where caused by the Organiser’s proven gross negligence or wilful misconduct.

12.2 Participants agree to release and hold harmless the Organiser, sponsors, partners, vendors, volunteers and authorised personnel from any claim arising from participation in the Event.

12.3 For participants below 18 years old, the parent or legal guardian agrees to these Terms & Conditions on behalf of the minor participant.

 

  1. Weather, Emergency and Force Majeure

13.1 The Event may proceed in light rain if the Organiser considers it safe.

13.2 The Organiser reserves the right to delay, suspend, modify, shorten, postpone or cancel the Event due to weather, haze, lightning, flood, road condition, medical emergency, public safety issue, authority instruction or any force majeure event.

13.3 Force majeure includes but is not limited to natural disaster, extreme weather, haze, flood, fire, epidemic, pandemic, government restriction, authority instruction, venue closure, road closure, technical failure, public safety threat or any event beyond the Organiser’s reasonable control.

13.4 The Organiser shall not be liable for any loss, cost, travel expense, accommodation expense, inconvenience or damage suffered due to event changes, postponement or cancellation.

 

  1. Medical Support and Emergency Treatment

14.1 The Organiser may provide basic first aid, ambulance support, medical station or emergency response team during the Event, subject to availability and event planning.

14.2 By participating, the participant consents to receive medical assistance or emergency treatment if deemed necessary by medical personnel, Event staff or emergency responders.

14.3 The participant agrees that the Organiser may contact the participant’s emergency contact person in the event of injury, illness, emergency or safety concern.

14.4 The participant remains responsible for all medical expenses, hospital fees, ambulance fees, insurance claims or treatment costs unless otherwise stated by the Organiser.

 

  1. Insurance Options

15.1 Participants may be offered optional insurance add-ons on the Ticket2U checkout page, including but not limited to Ticket Refund Insurance and/or Sports Personal Accident Insurance.

15.2 Any insurance option shown on Ticket2U is provided through Ticket2U and/or its appointed insurance partner, and is not directly provided by the Organiser.

15.3 Participants may choose to opt in to the insurance option where available. Any insurance premium, tax, platform admin fee or related charges will be shown at checkout and added to the final payable amount before payment confirmation.

15.4 Insurance coverage, eligibility, claim approval, reimbursement amount and claim procedures are subject to the insurance provider’s own policy terms and conditions.

15.5 Participants are responsible for reading and understanding the insurance details before selecting any insurance option.

15.6 The purchase of insurance does not change the Organiser’s refund policy. All tickets and registration fees remain non-refundable unless otherwise decided by the Organiser or subject to applicable Ticket2U cancellation/postponement procedures.

15.7 Any insurance claim, dispute, rejection, delay or reimbursement matter shall be handled according to the insurance provider’s and/or Ticket2U’s applicable procedures. The Organiser shall not be responsible for the approval, rejection, processing or payment of any insurance claim.

 

  1. Safety Rules and Participant Conduct

16.1 Participants must follow all Event rules, safety instructions, road marshal directions, signage, route markers and announcements.

16.2 Participants must stay on the designated route and must not take shortcuts.

16.3 Participants must not obstruct, push, trip, threaten, harass or endanger other participants, volunteers, staff or members of the public.

16.4 Participants must not participate under the influence of alcohol, drugs or any substance that may affect safety or judgment.

16.5 Participants must not bring dangerous items, weapons, illegal substances, fireworks, sharp objects or any item that may cause harm.

16.6 Participants must not litter and must use designated rubbish bins where available.

16.7 Participants must respect public property, venue rules, road safety regulations and instructions from the Organiser or authorities.

16.8 The Organiser reserves the right to remove or disqualify any participant who behaves in an unsafe, offensive, disruptive, dishonest or inappropriate manner.

 

  1. Bib Rules

17.1 Participants must wear the official Event bib clearly on the front of their shirt during the Event.

17.2 The Event bib will be assigned according to the participant’s registered 3KM or 5KM category.

17.3 Participants must not alter, fold, cover, duplicate or damage the bib.

17.4 Participants must not exchange or transfer bibs without approval from the Organiser.

17.5 Participants who participate without an official bib may be removed from the Event route or denied entitlements.

17.6 Lost, damaged or forgotten bibs may not be replaced unless otherwise decided by the Organiser.

 

  1. Route, Timing and Cut-Off

18.1 The Event route will be announced before the Event date through the Official Channels.

18.2 The Organiser reserves the right to change the route, distance, flag-off time or cut-off time due to safety, traffic, weather, haze, venue, authority requirement or operational reasons.

18.3 Participants must complete the route within the cut-off time, if any.

18.4 The Event is a charity/fun run unless otherwise stated. Timing chips, ranking, or competitive results may not be provided.

 

  1. Personal Belongings

19.1 Participants are responsible for their own personal belongings.

19.2 The Organiser shall not be liable for any lost, stolen, misplaced or damaged belongings, including but not limited to mobile phones, wallets, bags, watches, jewellery, cash, identification cards or vehicles.

19.3 Participants are advised not to bring valuable items to the Event.

 

  1. Parking and Transportation

20.1 Participants are responsible for arranging their own transportation to and from the Event venue.

20.2 A parking fee of RM5 per entry may apply at the Event venue, unless otherwise stated. The parking fee is subject to the venue management’s and/or parking operator’s terms, conditions and any changes from time to time.

20.3 Parking availability is not guaranteed unless clearly stated by the Organiser.

20.4 The Organiser shall not be responsible for traffic delays, parking summons, vehicle damage, theft, road closure or transport-related issues.

20.5 Participants are advised to arrive early and follow traffic, parking and marshal instructions.

 

  1. Photography, Videography and Media Consent

21.1 By attending or participating in the Event, participants consent to being photographed, filmed, recorded or otherwise captured by the Organiser, media, sponsors, partners or appointed photographers/videographers.

21.2 The participant grants the Organiser the right to use such photos, videos, recordings, name, image, voice and likeness for event documentation, publicity, advertising, social media, website, press release, promotional materials, internal reporting and future marketing purposes without further approval or payment.

21.3 Participants who do not wish to be prominently photographed should inform the Organiser before the Event. However, the Organiser cannot guarantee exclusion from crowd shots, live coverage or public Event recordings.

 

  1. Personal Data Protection

22.1 Participants agree that the organizer may collect and use their personal information for event registration, communication, administration, safety, and reporting purposes.

22.2 The organizer will take reasonable steps to protect participants’ personal information and will not misuse it.

 

  1. Amendments

23.1 The Organiser reserves the right to amend these Terms & Conditions at any time.

23.2 Updated Terms & Conditions may be posted on official channels.

22.3 Continued participation in the Event shall be deemed acceptance of the updated Terms & Conditions.

 

  1. Participation Declaration

By registering for Pawnzon Charity Run 2026: RUN FOR HOPE 2026, I confirm that I have read, understood and agreed to these Terms & Conditions. I declare that I am physically fit to participate in the Event, accept the risks involved, consent to the processing of my personal data for Event purposes, and agree that photos/videos taken during the Event may be used by the Organiser for publicity and marketing purposes.
